Let’s party with your favourite Chinese-language songs on Granville Street!
TAIWANfest presents a special flash mob program featuring three choirs from right here, Vancouver, BC. Singing in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Hakka, they invite you to sing along to familiar tunes and golden classics.
Make sure to drop by Granville Street during the festival and enjoy the lively atmosphere!

Sky Walker is a Vancouver-based pop choir formed in 2026, performing primarily in Cantonese and Mandarin. Mentored by Dino Acconci of Soler, the ensemble is shaped by folk- and rock-informed vocal techniques, with a strong focus on emotional expression and musical storytelling. Under the direction of music director Addison Wong, Sky Walker brings together singers committed to artistic growth and collaborative music-making. They have performed at Jade Music Festival, LunarFest, Chinese Canadian Museum, and continue to share performances defined by passion, musical richness, and refined craftsmanship.
Presented by AnXin Community Savings, the only credit union in BC dedicated to serving the Chinese-speaking community, this community sing-along pop-up brings together Katrina Chen and a group of Taiwanese Canadians from Generation X and the Millennial generation in support of TAIWANfest.
Formosa Beats will lead everyone through a selection of beloved Taiwanese pop classics. Join us as we transform the street into one giant open-air karaoke, singing the songs that have shaped our shared memories.
Because here, everyone is a singer, and every voice deserves to be heard.
Bringing together members from different generations, the choir is united by a shared love of singing and a passion for preserving Hakka culture. Through joyful, spontaneous flash mob performances, they bring Hakka songs into everyday public spaces, sharing the warmth, energy, and vibrant spirit of the Hakka community overseas with audiences of all backgrounds.
