About the Program

Join us for an hour of cultural fusion and artistic innovation! This program celebrates the harmonious blend of tradition and modernity through fashion and music, showcasing the talents of fashion designer Cara Huang and Erhu musician Jeffrey Pai.

New Mode is a fashion collection by Cara Huang that seamlessly blends traditional East Asian aesthetics with modern fabric manipulation techniques. Inspired by the architectural magnificence of Taiwanese temples, this collection pays homage to their intricate designs and timeless elegance while presenting a contemporary interpretation.

琴缘 (Qín yuán) Strings of Fate signifies the serendipitous connection and fateful bond one has with a musical instrument. For Jeffrey, this connection with the Erhu has been transformative, opening doors to the entertainment industry and shaping his artistic journey.

In this unique performance, Jeffrey takes you on a captivating journey through the world of the Erhu. From traditional Chinese melodies to contemporary genres, he seamlessly blends the old with the new, demonstrating the versatility and timeless beauty of this ancient instrument.

Experience the magic of the Erhu and discover how a single instrument can bridge cultures, transcend boundaries, and create unforgettable music.
